Movies that feel likeSplice (2010)

Elsa and Clive, two rebellious young scientists, defy legal and ethical boundaries and forge ahead with a dangerous experiment: splicing together human and animal DNA to create a new organism. Named "Dren", the creature rapidly develops from a deformed female infant into a beautiful but dangerous winged human-chimera, who forges a bond with both of her creators β€” only to have that bond turn deadly.

If you loved Splice, the closest films we have are Spring (2014), Deep Blue Sea (1999) and Scanners (1981). All three share Splice's dread and unsettling feel, which is what we rank on before quality.

Seen the big three already? The under-the-radar pick below is Colony (2026).
